Pioneer unveils two new entertainment players

Pioneer revealed today at NAMM two new pieces of DJ gear.

The first is the MEP-7000, described as a “Professional Multi-Entertainment Player” picks up where the CDJ-series players left off.

In addition to the standard digital disc playback (such as CD and DVD), there is now an option for playback of digital files from various media formats.

The easily transportable system also has a pre-programmed playback option.

Other MEP-7000 features include a 4.3 inch color LCD interface, an Area-Color Organic Electroluminescence (OEL) display, enhanced scratch features and automatic mixing capability.

Also introduced is the SEP-C1, a device that enables user control of a PC’s audio files for playback — without the need for a mouse of keyboard.

Features for the SEP-C1 include a 4.3 inch color LCD interface, an Area-Color Organic Electroluminescence (OEL) display, an automatic mixing function and effects enhancements.

Both pieces of gear are highly portable and rack-ready.

The MEP-7000 and SEP-C1 will be available in June with a manufacturer suggested retail price of $2,299 and $1,199, respectively.

Check out Pioneer’s website for a full listing of specs and other details.
