Pioneer set to release CDJ-400
8 November, 2007 | 12.58PMPioneer will unveil its new CDJ-400 at the BPM trade show on Saturday, a CDJ-player with a scratch-wheel deck and USB that can be used not only as a regular deck but as a MIDI controller too.
The CDJ-400 of course is based on Pioneer’s industry standard CDJ-1000 and allows DJs to play their MP3 collection off CDRs as well as mass-storage USB devices.
The deck also features the world’s first ‘Scratch Jog Effects’ with three scratch effects and a new loop divide function.
Virtually all the buttons on the CDJ-400 can send MIDI data so it can be used to control DJ software such as Serato Scratch and Pioneer’s own DJS.
“With USB, MP3 and MIDI support, the world’s first Scratch Jog Effects and inspirational looping abilities, the CDJ-400 has been designed to keep DJs in tune with the latest digital developments, adding new levels of performance to their sets,’ said Jason Pook, Pioneer’s European Product Development Manager.
The Pioneer CDJ-400 is expected to retail for around €550.
