Pete Tong TV 16th January 2009

On this week’s episode Pete Tong TV for 2009, Pete features the new video for ‘Walking On A Dream’ from Empire Of The Sun, out this week on Virgin Records.

Pete shares the Middx remix of ‘White Winter Hymnal’ from Fleet Foxes, and this week’s show also highlights the track ‘Stereo Flo’ from Dada [a], Sam Obernik and Paul Harris [a] due out later this spring.

There are three Bedroom Bedlam cuts from Mark Energy, Dunjammin, and this week’s No.1 track by Slash and Doppe. Bedroom Bedlam features 3 unsigned tracks selected by Pete each week from submissions sent to BedroomBedlam@PeteTong.tv. You can listen to the full No. 1 Bedroom Bedlam track for free for one week’s time on the Pete Tong TV website, and also vote for next week’s top Bedroom Bedlam track as well as learn how to get the show on your mobile phone. To check out other Bedroom Bedlamers, check out the Bedroom Bedlam label, also currently available exclusively on Beatport.

We also get to catch the video for ‘Visitors’ from FrYars featuring Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan.

For this week’s interview, Pete talks with Richard Dinsdale who just released his debut album on Toolroom Records. He reminisces about his early start at the tender age of 14 when he got his first pair of decks and moved to Brighton to find his mentor.  A few years later he had his first EP released. Aside from his recent release on Toolroom, he’s been busy collaborating with Michael Grey on more of a crossover album.  He’s also just got back from Summerdaze in Australia. His debut album ‘U Turn’ took a year and a half to make, and the sound crosses genres that include tech house, techno, electro, and a Moby-style club tune.  He’s got a few releases due out this year on several different imprints, so keep an eye peeled for those, as well as a full tour schedule for ‘09.

Also on the website, you can enter to win copies of the new Rekids compilation and the Bedroom Bedlam chart, and check out an exclusive mix from Seamus Haji.

And finally, head over to the Pete Tong TV website to find out how to join Blinko, the new social network service available both online and on your mobile phone. Pete’s also got a channel there, where you can get music and club announcements, updates, info, giveaways and more.
