This week Pete talks to one of the forefathers of acid house, DJ Pierre as he cruises Chicago streets on the night of the US presidential election, where throngs of people gathered downtown to listen to the Presidential Elect Barack Obama speak. DJ Pierre says he’s been busy producing this year, working on his album and collaborating with the likes of Louie Vega and others, and he talks about his experience at We Love this past summer and how he’s looking forward to a residency there next year. He’s excited about a forthcoming track of his that Radio Slave and Glen Underground are remixing, due out on November 13th on Gigolo Records. He also touches on the current Chicago landscape and his touring plans for the year, which will include Asia and Australia. Check out DJ Pierre’s MySpace page for more information.
