Pete Tong Fast Trax 30th May 2008

This week on Pete Tong’s Fast Trax, his offerings include an Upfront tune by Steve Mac, called ‘Paddy’s Revenge’.

The three featured Bedroom Bedlam cuts for this week are from Leatherhead, Paul Moody, and this week’s No.1 track by San Francisco’s Michael Conway.

Bedroom Bedlam features 3 unsigned tracks selected by Pete each week from submissions sent to his MySpace page. You can listen to the No. 1 Bedroom Bedlam track for free for one week’s time on the Fast Trax website, and also vote for next week’s top Bedroom Bedlam track. As reported recently on Beatportal, the new Bedroom Bedlam label is currently available exclusively on Beatport.

Originally a Bedroom Bedlam entry, you’ll find this week’s Remix is a mash-up of Deadmau5 vs. Basement Jaxx by Punk, entitled, ‘Hi Friend Jump & Shout’, due out on vinyl soon.

Then there’s the world exclusive Big Interview on Fast Trax with Ruth, Paul and Ryan of New Zealand’s Minuit, who have recently released a new album in the UK lengthily named,‘I Went to This Party and There Were 88 Guards With Guns’. The trio talks a little about the common mispronunciation of Minuit’s name, and its genre classification as a kind of indie/breakbeat live ensemble.  They discuss a recent video grant they were awarded, and we get a peek at their handiwork in a ‘Fuji’ video clip.
