Pete Tong Fast Trax 29th August 2008

On Fast Trax this week, Mark Knight from Toolroom Records guest hosts while Pete Tong is away in Ibiza.

Mark started off with the video for the forthcoming release from Peroxide called ‘The Secret’.

The Upfront tune for this week is from Mark Knight and Funkagenda vs Paul Thomas, called ‘Arena’, written especially for this time of year.

There are three Bedroom Bedlam cuts from Neptun 505, Exelon, and this week’s No.1 track by Vibrations of Kick. Bedroom Bedlam features 3 unsigned tracks selected by Pete each week from submissions sent to his MySpace page. You can listen to the No. 1 Bedroom Bedlam track for free for one week’s time on the Fast Trax website, and also vote for next week’s top Bedroom Bedlam track. As reported recently on Beatportal, the new Bedroom Bedlam label is currently available exclusively on Beatport.

You’ll find The Remix from Shur-i-kan remixing ‘Here I Am’ from Fred Everything featuring Lisa Shaw.

This week’s Left of Center Tune is by Jake Island, titled ‘’All Is Well’.

For the Big Interview this week, Mark talks to Alex James and Seb James of Uncle Buck.  They’ve just been to Gatecrasher and several UK festivals on various tours, and talk about how they met and what their first experiences were at university. They recount their early connections and how they got on their feet and began to establish themselves, and share the story of how Uncle Buck got their name. Also, they touch on playing Ibiza Rocks, Manumission and their early days in Ibiza, as well as more recent ventures that include finishing a remix for Moby, and building a Moroccan-themed studio in London.
