Pete Tong Fast Trax 22nd August 2008

Pete Tong Fast Trax 22nd August 2008

On Fast Trax this week, Pete Tong [a] starts off with a video for ‘Go That Deep’ from Nu Frequency featuring Shara Nelson, who used to sing with Massive Attack.

The Upfront tune for this week is by Wiley titled ‘Summertime’.

There are three Bedroom Bedlam cuts from Sleep Paralysis, DJ Addytzu, and this week’s No.1 track by Ratz Lukas. Bedroom Bedlam features 3 unsigned tracks selected by Pete each week from submissions sent to his MySpace page. You can listen to the No. 1 Bedroom Bedlam track for free for one week’s time on the Fast Trax website, and also vote for next week’s top Bedroom Bedlam track. As reported recently on Beatportal, the new Bedroom Bedlam label is currently available exclusively on Beatport.

You’ll find The Remix from Inpetto remixing ‘So Strong’ from Meck featuring Dino.

This week’s Left of Center Tune is by David Holmes, titled ‘I Heard Wonders’.

Then there are two Big interviews this week, starting off with Australian DJ Sarah Main who talks her start 14 years ago and how that led into her current Pacha residency. She also talks about her radio show on Galaxy FM in the UK, and her latest mix of the ‘Pure Pacha’ release with Goldfish in an effort to capture the main room vibe.  Lucky girl that she is, Sarah lives in a house full of creative minds, with four different studios, so she’s hard at work and staying busy in 2008.

The second interview is from Dom and Dave of Goldfish from South Africa. They talk about their jazzy musical backgrounds and how they met, and their latest gig at Pacha.  The ‘Pure Pacha’ comp has the Goldfish touch incorporating some unreleased tracks of theirs along with some mixed in live bits, Bob Marley and Capetown influences.  They also share some secrets of their DJ gigs and gear.
