20 June, 2008 | 3.12PM- Section: Videos Topics: Beatport Blog
On a very packed Fast Trax this week, Pete shares a video from Alan Braxe featuring Killa Kela and Fallon called ‘Nightwatcher (Show Me)’.
There’s also an Upfront Tune from James Talk & Ridney called ‘Sunshyne’.
There are three Bedroom Bedlam cuts from DJ John, Neon Stereo and this week’s No.1 track by Flight and Jontey. Bedroom Bedlam features 3 unsigned tracks selected by Pete each week from submissions sent to his MySpace page. You can listen to the No. 1 Bedroom Bedlam track for free for one week’s time on the Fast Trax website, and also vote for next week’s top Bedroom Bedlam track, but unfortunately this week Pete found that people had been cheating and so decided to choose this week’s selection himself. As reported recently on Beatportal, the new Bedroom Bedlam label is currently available exclusively on Beatport.
You’ll find The Remix from Danger TV, reworking We Are Scientists’ ‘Chick Lit’.
This week Pete discusses another track of interest, Matthew Dear‘s remix of David Bowie’s ‘Sound & Vision’, to be released on a compilation of Bowie reworks called ‘Life Beyond Mars’ due out June 23rd.
On Fast Trax this week, Pete Tong speaks with CR2 Records’ Mark Brown and Micky Slim. Mark has just returned from the International Music Summit in Ibiza, and Micky was attending Global Gathering in Poland. They come together on Fast Trax to talk about their differing sounds on their new releases, as well as their upcoming US and Australian tours.
DJ and producer Pete Heller also drops by to discuss his latest projects, club Pacha in Ibiza, impending fatherhood and the recent theft of a CD from his record box.
In the background of the interviews, we heard ‘You Know What’s Up (Brown Edit)’ from Brown & Slim on CR2 records, Arno’s ‘Souvenir’ and Pete Heller’s track ‘Simpler’.
