Paolo Mojo’s big three Miami WMC tunes
25 March, 2008 | 11.45AM- Section: Music News Topics: DJ Gossip, Miami WMC 2008
British house DJ Paolo Mojo checked in with Beatportal as we were waiting in departures to board our flight to Miami.
We asked Paolo what his three big tracks for Miami will be, as above all Miami WMC is about hot new music - the music played by the DJs at WMC will define the forthcoming summer of rave.
“My big three? Damn, that’s hard to pick, but here goes,” he said.
Here’s Paolo Mojo’s top 3 tunes for Miami.
Paolo Mojo ‘Sirena’ (Oosh)
“I made this last month and it has been getting the most ridiculous reactions. Just heavy bass, kick, 909 claps and hats and a couple of minimoog lines twisted right up. Potentially enormous, which is nice.”
Francesco Tristano ‘The Melody’ (C2 Remix) [check it in the player below]
“This has been out already for a while but the jazzy piano kind of sits in your skull. More brilliance from Carl Craig and this will be a fixture in my sets for months.”
Smith and Selway ‘Total Departure’
“Absolutely enormous, based around a constantly rising synth motif. Smith and Selway bang on the money. Cirez D provides another great remix.”
