The Bliss

excellent LP ‘The Bliss’ is a bit confused about its origins, like a transvestite floating somewhere in the Atlantic between New York’s deep house scene and Berlin’s minimal powerhouse.
‘Urlichten’ features solid drums and strong synth lines which build and grow into an arpeggiating frenzy.
This is not far off from the minimal techno sound, but it definitely wears a deep house façade.
It’s got strange techno noises and an odd breakdown, but will work well as a mid-set house groover.
With its dark grooving bassline and synths that seem to grow and grow, arpegiating and then dropping out, the percussion on ‘Moonstruck’ just adds to the energy.
This is perfect dancefloor fodder for minimal or deep house heads.
