Pacha NYC closed after police visit

Top New York nightclub Pacha is currently closed after police visited the club on Friday 13th April. The Manhattan hotspot, which is part of the global Pacha franchise, has not commented on the raid.

The closure however is sure to have left Pacha’s owners reeling, as the club had started to gain major international recognition after winning three accolades at the 5th Annual Club Awards, including one for Best Club, and one for Best Soundsystem.

As yet, Pacha NYC has issued no formal statement about the situation, but clubbers in New York expressed their dismay on messageboards and blogs.

One Pacha regular said: “The NYPD closed the street down on Friday, and the club didn’t open at all on Saturday. I just hope that the club doesn’t stay closed forever, it is one of the best in the city.”
