‘Overwhelming response’ for Speedy J’s Open Collabs

Speedy J is reporting that his Open Collabs project, the largest collaborative electronic music project ever conceived, has had an “overwhelming response” with thousands of loops, synth bleeps, field recordings, vocals and guitar jams having been submitted by the general public.

Altogether, Speedy J has received over 15GB of audio from hundreds of producers, both bedroom DJs and professionals, and the Dutch techno pioneer is currently archiving the sounds before embarking on the monumental task of building an album from the samples.
