Hawk begun producing “Groove do Capeta” (Devil´s Groove) in a sleepless night, euphoric, fulfilled with anguish. We can say, then, deep feelings came along with the devil. As long as his madness began to melt into beat, however, it became almost an artcraft. Evil-shaped. Lighter, lighter; yet groovy.

House in its unpretensious atmosphere, “Groove do Capeta” is made out of a overcame insanity, in which one can hardly stand out. Franklin Da Costa was one of them. Also influenced by DCNT (Da Costa Night Tool Project), it has got a powerful bassline, getting the groove ahead of itself.

But, the track you are about to listen is a result of a long journey. Motivated mainly by experimental eletronic music, Hawk started to develop his own sound in 2002. Despite being a huge fan of Karlheinz Stockhausen, he has got inspiration for his own tracks by absorbing jazz, bossa nova, rock’n roll, reggae and soul.

Working as a professional Dj since 2000, Hawk has played gigs in the best brazilian venues and was the resident dj in clubs including D-Edge, SPKZ, Vegas, Lov.E Club (São Paulo), as well as Dama de Ferro and Fosfobox (Rio de Janeiro).

He also put together the famous “Blow Up!” party in its first three years of existence, not to mention “Tech Me Up!”, “Get FunkY!” and the private party “InovatioN”. Those parties were planned to make the public undergo new experiences through sounds. The Devil was then growing. Enjoy its result.
