Onionz gives Forensic Records some Love
14 March, 2008 | 3.48AM- Section: Music News
New Yorker Onionz Steps onto Forensic Records with a peak time electronic houser and a corker of a remix package.
Having been releasing quality house music for well over 10 years for labels such as NRK, 2020 Vision, Siesta Music, OM, Soma and Defected, we are proud to have this prolific Dj & Producer on board for another label debut.
“Your Love” really emphasises the high level production Onionz has and its impact on the dance floor is big. The Original “tough love mix” combines driving house beats with an incredibly deep growling sub bass. The percussion throughout adds just the required amount of Latin disco shuffle; with its solid punchy clap and swung cowbells. The bass driven groove squeezes and opens up into a great breakdown helped by perfectly placed vocal stabs and electronic effects.
Canadian deep house producer Jay Tripwire opts to take the peak time feel of the original and construct a much deeper remix with dubby early morning feel. With smooth pads, bubbling percussion and a very vintage Mr Fingers sounding bassline, this is definitely one for the house heads.
