To celebrate the release of the debut artist albums from OceanLab and Jaytech, The Gallery at Ministry of Sound is hosting a launch party next Friday.
The event – which takes place in between the release dates for both albums – will see Above & Beyond play a 3-hour set under their alias OceanLab.
They’ll be joined in the Box by Super 8 & DJ Tab, Martin Roth and James Grant, with sets in the Bar from Jaytech, Michael Cassette and Fine Taste.
Album Reviews
OceanLab ‘Sirens of the Sea’
OceanLab have collaborated with singer/songwriter Justine Suissa (who is also featured on Armin van Buuren’s award winning ‘Shivers’ album), to create the blissfully Balearic album ‘Sirens of the Sea’.
Her vocals maintain your attention throughout the 13 tracks, but also allow you to slip off into your own imagination.
Written in Ibiza, this is definitely music for the poolside and if you love your vocal trance, then this one’s for you.
‘Sirens of the Sea’ is released on 21st July on Above & Beyond’s massive Anjunabeats label.
Jaytech ‘Everything Is OK’
The 22-year old DJ and producer pushes boundaries with this progressive tech-trance album.
Classically trained as a pianist, his understanding of music shines through with his ability to combine genres such as minimal with trance.
One of the album’s highlights, ‘Pepe’s Garden’, was a firm favourite with Sasha as well as Armin van Buuren earlier this year, proving that his music is equally at home in a Sasha set as in a headline set from Above & Beyond.
‘Everything Is OK’ was released earlier this week on the Anjunabeats sub-label AnjunaDeep.
