NYC’s Robots unveils mammoth May events
1 May, 2007 | 6.28AMNew York’s Robots club night is seemingly going from strength to strength. The techno and electro party, run by British DJ Nick Ac, has secured a whopping line-up for its three events in May at Cielo.
On Thursday 3rd May, German techno godfather Sven Vath
will stop over in the Big Apple to play at Robots as part of his Cocoon World Tour.
Then three weeks later, New York’s minimal cohorts will be treated to two massive underground techno parties in the space of just two days.
Minimal champion Luciano
will host a Cadenza
Records party alongside his label buddies Digitaline
on Tuesday 29th May.
Then just 48 hours later, Kompakt
Records boss Michael Mayer will perform alongside his star signing Gui Boratto
.
Brazilian Gui Boratto just recently released his poignant artist album ‘Chromophobia’ on Kompakt, which reached our No.1 spot in April’s The 20 chart.
The LP, which highlighted Boratto’s genius ability to create melancholic underground techno, was released to critical acclaim and is quite possible the best artist album ever to bear the Kompakt stamp.
The club night’s regulars are clearly in for a techno treat.
