featuring Molly with ‘Not Alone’ on We Love Muzik is a rare gem in a crowded sea of mediocrity.
Molly Bancroft is best known for her collaboration with Gabriel & Dresden
on ‘Tracking Down Pleasure’, and the Atlanta-based singer has already compared to Suzanne Vega and Beth Orton.
Personally, I think she has a certain Juliet-feel (as in the voice behind ‘Avalon’ in 2005).
As to ‘Not Alone’, it’s a potent cocktail of incisive sensuality that perfectly fuses dance-inflected rock beats, with waves of vivid vocal emotion, while the remixes similarly add depth and variety.
Deadmau5
delivers another lush throbbing electronica epic, and Mikael Nordgren
takes the main original elements, and beefs them up a notch on his intense Tiger Stripes.
Already in sets for Tiesto, Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez and David Morales, this former Essential New Tune that’s now receiving extended Radio 1 spins from Judge Jules as well as Pete Tong stands every chance of crossing into the mainstream.
