Noir feat. Alexander Perls ‘Times of My Life’
23 November, 2007 | 4.37AM- Section: Music News
It’s been quite a while since Danish house master Noir’s last record ‘All About House Music’, but now he bounces back with this phenomenally large release on his own imprint Noir Music White, featuring the vocal talents of Alexander Perls.
The full package is exclusive on Beatport and features 7 mixes, each perfect in their own right and all of which are receiving some seriously heavy weight support right now.
It’s hard to find a selection of mixes of this high quality, so all fans of Noir, Ben Macklin, Arias, Bart B and Granite need to get on this today.
Readers, meet Noir, Noir meet the readers.
We’ve invited him down here to give you a quick run down in his own words about the single:
“Hi everyone, I really hope you like the new release.
“We are very happy with all the mixes.
“We are very honoured to have such a great remix package to offer you, alongside my own Original, Dub & Radio Edit and this time featuring the vocal talents of Alexander Perls.
“I’m sure you can will have difficulty choosing which is your favourite mix from the release.
“Enjoy!”

Noir feat. Alexander Perls “Times of My Life” - Noir Music White - NMW004
Original Mix
Full vocal track with a warm and melancholic feel to it.
Its very infectious and quite catchy. But the arrangement keeps it slightly underground and clubby. Over an 8 minute journey that builds and builds until the full climax and intensity hits around the last breakdown.
Kinda warm electro groove – but spiced with chunky beats, neat efx and 80’s like synth melody. We’ve been told that this one sounds like a Depeche Mode track/remix produced by Martijn Ten Velden. Nice association!
Noir Dub
This one is built around the original but has got a totally different arrangement.
Minded for the underground clubs and the rave kids.
Bart B More Remix
This boy is on fire at the moment. Not only did his track “So It Goes” on Toolroom become a big hit in the clubs but the boy has shown his talent on the remix side as well.
This one has the jackin’ feel of “So It Goes”. The groove is ace and VERY Bart B More = VERY irresistible.
If you like your tracks to be jackin’ – this is the one to head for.
Also do Bart the honour and check out his mixes of Sandy Rivera (Defected) and Gregor Salto (G-Rex) as well. Bart B Rocks!
Ben Macklin Remix
The man who needs no introduction. Too many BIG club tracks to try and start to pick out pieces and this one is no exception. It has the Macklin imprint with big breaks and long builds.
Ben added an almost anthemic feel to it and made it appeal to both mainstream and underground djs, perfect cross over potential and destined for big things!
The remix just keeps building and building – A true crowdpleaser from a man that knows his shit. ANTHEM!
Arias Remix
We are honoured to have Arias back on the label for some remix duties.
His “Magenta” with Arno Cost and “Twelve” on Noir Music has been doing serious damage in 2007 and if you liked those tracks you will LOVE this remix.
Almost trance like elements with an awesome synth/stringed hook.
Arias productions remind us a bit of Pryda but slightly more commercial.
Another young talent that is ready to take over – we warned you.
Granite Mix
One half of Granite & Phunk steps out on his own to give us this funky electro mix. We’ve always been big fans of GAP and in our opinion they have not gotten the attention they deserve.
Now Granite tries out on his own and this one has got GAP written all over it.
The tight beats, funky and cut up grooves + skillful use of the vocals.
This sexy piece will definitely keep the girls on the dancefloor and we have to warn you again……….
………… there’s more to come from Mr. Granite on Noir Music very soon ;-).
Watch this space.
