Night Trippers Guide To The Galaxy
Night Trippers Guide To The Galaxy
Brett Johnson [Frankie Records]
25 April, 2009 | 2.01PMDallas-based techno and house producer Brett Johnson
turns in an impressive EP with plenty of different moods to push a set inside out.
If you like your techno hypnotic and freaky, this EP is well worth checking out.
Wacky minimal techno cut ‘Two Cents’ features spiraling sound FX and a bleep riddled groove, that Massi DL remixes into a fun tech house jumper.
The EP’s stand out track ‘Rubber Duck’ is a perfect blend of driving tech house and scatty minimal synths - it’s the kind of sound Loco Dice might drop when he decides the turn the heat up.
Final track ‘Tick Tock’ is a more experimental techno piece, with hard hi hat loops giving the track a heady, warehouse feel.
More underground quality from Frankie Records
