Nick Muir’s minimal techno side revealed on Audio Therapy
12 November, 2007 | 10.41AM- Section: Music News
DJmag recently uploaded an interview with progressive house producer Nick Muir, John DIgweed’s studio sidekick.
In the interview Nick Muir spoke of his new found love for minimal techno, and of how a night out at Berlin’s Berghain club inspired him to move towards a more stripped-back, minimal style of music.
His new love for minimal techno can be found on his new ‘G Platz’ single for Audio Therapy (check it out in the player below).
We had a brilliant night out at Berghain,” NIck Muir revealed.
“I was in Berlin for the weekend with my wife Donna, and we wanted to go and check it out.
“There was really good, different music, and I had a whale of a time.
“I realised there was something different going on and it’s been influencing me ever since, really.”
“It’s something a bit different for me.
“I’ve been listening to different stuff for the past two or three years and wanted to do something different to what I’m known for.”
