Well the wacky bunch at TRENDY MULLET bring the mullet madness again to beatport, this time taking things a little deeper thanks to Frenchman MIKKAEL. This release shows how diverse their sound is with a solid set of remixes taking in sounds from accross the house spectrum!

So us good chaps at Trendy Mullet have reached number 10! With a nice little number from rising underground house starlet MIKKAEL!

Mikkael runs the top house night Duvet Vous? in Bristol and has had a stream of releases on labels like LINGO, GREENHOUSE & REPLAY. Mikkael’s original is a deep number with a little added jack that grooves along nicely with some spoken male vocals and some nice sax action.

On the remix front we have TOMMY LARGO, a man who needs no introduction, thanks to his consistent releases spaning funk to old scholl acid sounds on TANGO, SPATULA CITY, GUESTHOUSE & CONTROL. Tommy turns in a chunky deep abstract funk version which stays on the slightly techy side of things.

The other remixes come from Drew Tempest of THE QUIRK BURGLARS, who has shown his love for deep click and groove house in his solo productions. Drew takes things deep and techy with some quirky use of the vocal sample and plenty of bleeps.

Rounding off the ep we have Aussie COMBINED who is making a name for himself with his jazzy jacked up beats and rolling b lines. He provides a no messing around rolling jacked up version with some very nice brass and one hell of a bumpin bassline!
