New Prodigy single: ‘Omen’ pencilled for early 2009

Those of you disappointed with The Prodigy’s ‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ LP should scope the video after the jump showing a live performance of the first single from their new album.

The album ‘Invaders Must Die’ is coming March 2nd.

There will be two versions – a normal CD and a double CD with bonus tracks.

The Prodigy’s third album was one of the fastest selling of all time but the fourth wasn’t marketed properly and didn’t shift nearly so well.

It will surely be a victory for dance music, then, in the eyes of electronic punks everywhere, to see The Prodigy hijack the pop charts once more with this anarchic album.

For those who missed the free Prodigy single ‘Invaders Must Die’ (which you can’t download anymore until the album of the same name drops), console yourself with this video of ‘Omen’.

Oh, and has anyone noticed how hugely influenced The Prodigy’s new sound is by Pendulum – the world’s top-selling drum & bass group?
