New Nightlight Music release is THE BUSINESS!

New Nightlight Music release is THE BUSINESS!

It’s the business. It really is. It’s glitched out. It’s intelligent. It’s downright funky. It’s a hybrid of house, techno, glitch, minimal and whatever else we’re calling it these days. Twisted sinewy rhythms and microrhythms make for large and confident synthwork, big bold basslines and a well-informed musicality that really can only be described as THE BUSINESS.

Supported by Claude VonStroke [a], Mikael Stavostrand [a], Tyler Stadius [a], Limacon [a], Arnaud Le Texier [a], Ed Davenport [a], Brendon Moeller [a], Phonogenic [a], Someone Else [a], Guy Noir [a], Mateo Murphy [a] and MANY more!

Kenneth Scott [a] is one of San Francisco’s most promising new talents. From rocking dancefloors at his Binary and Auralism Records [l] residencies to regular bookings for the Bay’s most exciting techno club nights and undergrounds, Kenneth Scott [a] has been working hard on churning out his unique tracks. Some are massive club stompers and some are lush and deep. But all have one thing in common… the sound of a passionate young techno talent that’s more than ready to rock your face.

Clint Stewart [a] has been an integral part of the Nightlight Music [l] family and the San Francisco techno community for some time now. He’s rocked remixes and originals for us already, and what you’re getting here is a great example of his diversity. His Business In The Front remix takes the lead out and puts the lead in! Slamming the pedal to the metal is what we got here, and if you cant take the ride, you should probably just get out now and get back to your training wheels. The Party In The Back remix takes a more pensive and housey approach. Adding a few classy little stabs and some great percussion, Clint gives us all a nice smooth and more minimal take on the originals.

Alland Byallo [a] has been turnin’ it out lately. 2008 was a great year for him - playing at clubs around the world from Berlin to Tokyo to Dominican Republic, at the States’ best festivals, and alongside with some of the world’s greatest techno talents at his [KONTROL] party. For the last 10 years Alland has been producing a fine blend of house with a techno backbone, and the remix on this EP is a great example of this. Elements are taken from both original tracks to whip up a deep but driven tech-house gem. Definitely a great balance to the fury and frenzy that is THE BUSINESS.

Here‘s what some have said about this great release:

Great release! Excellent work from Kenneth and Clint but I think my fav is Alland’s sub-laced ‘Business Mod’. Keep on the Nightlight. Limacon [a] [Poker Flat]

Alland!! I love your remix—deep, smokey and so hypnotic. I’ll play this one for sure !!! Süz [Archipel]

The original of ‘Make it Modulo’ is a sick and twisted deep jam - I like! Clint’s ‘Party in the Back’ remix is a sturdy, understated builder. Will play;
