Native Instruments release new SoundPacks

The ever-growing Kore SoundPacks range is now reinforced with two brand-new additions.

FM8 Transient Attacks delivers 200 newly created FM8 sounds with a raw, edgy style perfect for modern electronic music, whilst Deep Transformations represents the first multi-effect Kore SoundPack.

Kore SoundPacks, for the uninitiated, are patches of Native Instruments sounds, compatible with the Kore II hardware or free Kore Player.

If you like the look and feel of Beatport, then you’ll love the Kore SoundPacks because their interfaces are of the same style.

Transient Attacks is not, as first thought, an .avi file depicting a maths teacher mauling a student who got his sums wrong.

It’s basically the cream of what the NI sound designers have cooked up via their famous Yamaha DX9 emulation, giving the user a total of 1,600 variations that can be loaded directly into FM8 itself, for 49.00 EUR.

Deep Transformations, clocking in at 69.00 EUR, is, according to the NI website:

“the first effects-only KORE SOUNDPACK, harnessing the power of KORE’s integrated audio engines to turn KORE 2 and the free KORE PLAYER into highly creative and unconventional multi-effects units.”

They go on to claim:

“You’ll have to look elsewhere for standard effects; this SOUNDPACK provides highly creative and morph-able effects not found in any other software or hardware unit, transforming the free KORE PLAYER and KORE 2 into a full-blown effects device capable of warping even the most ordinary sound into something completely new and different.”

Don’t believe them?

Well, head to the NI homepage to listen directly to audio examples and decide yourself whether this is hyperbole or not.
