New Definitive Recordings release by Jan van Lier
25 January, 2008 | 4.00PMJohn Acquaviva’s Definitive Recordings
released this week a barnstorming EP of forward-thinking electro house by up and coming California producer/DJ Jan van Lier
entitled ‘Freqruption’.
The title track is a raw and techy stomper with a heavy gliding bassline and that steady chugging sound you’ve come to expect from Acquaviva and Definitive.
The other track “Triple 7” is a tougher affair, with a colossal sawtooth bassline over a big electro house beat, with distorted guitar chords giving it a massive big-room feel.
These are two tracks that will get huge response on any dancefloor, and it’s no wonder that John Acquaviva
swooped up on these tracks for his Definitive label which has consistently been on the Beatport Electro House top ten with tracks like “Defected” by Robot Needs Oil and “Gail in the O” by Olivier Giacomotto.
Jan van Lier has releases available on Beatport on Loöq Records, Transitori, Open Bar Music, and Definitive Recordings, including “One Through Seven” (Loöq) which has been featured on Carl Cox’s ‘Global’ show.
