NAMM 2008: Stanton unleashes virtual turntable and mixer

Stanton has unveiled some new (and rather expensive) DJ kit at NAMM.

Not due in the shops till May, the new SC System is being touted as a “virtual turntable” and “virtual mixer” combo, that will give all the features of a digital DJ set up, whilst at the same time be based on old DJ set ups.

The virtual turntable bit is a high torque turntable with real vinyl on top, whilst the mixer is a four channel beauty with EQ controls.

Apparently they’ll connect via Firewire and be able to handle a 96 KHz sample rate.

But it’ll be pricy - intial reports suggest the SC combo system will cost about $2499.
