Mutek Festival in Montreal is one of the most forward-thinking events in electronic music, and for 2008 the Mutek organisers have some very credible artists booked.

Murcof, Carl Craig, Sleeparchive, Modeselektor, Kode9 and The Field will all appear at Mutek 2008. which takes place May 28th to June 1st 2008.

There are also sets planned from DJ Olive, Onur Ozer, Radio Slave, Cristian Vogel, Tim Hecker and Kid Koala.

Another highlight should be Dave Ajau from Circus Company, a record label that prides itself in releasing quality new techno [check out Circus Company’s releases in the player below].

Other artists due to appear at Mutek 2008 include Noze, Megazoid, Matthais Kaden and Ernesto Ferrer aka Guillaume, from the wacky deep house outfit Coutu Dumonts.

Word has it that Deadbeat and Mossa are also due to play Mutek.

So all in all, this ninth edition of Mutek looks like it will be focused on underground, cutting-edge electronic music.
