Music Vortex Liquid Speaker Concept

Rhythmic ripples of sound pulse their way through the liquid cone of the Music Vortex.
The speaker concept, by designer Eric Zheng, placed third at the Soundbox design competition presented by speaker manufacturer 3Nod. Using a built in, and presumably, heavily-weighted metronome, the Music Vortex amplifies the rhythmic sounds of the audio at the nearest stable oscillation rate, engaging the listener with a visual waves of ‘sound’ emulating the core of the speaker’s liquid-filled core.
