Mumbling Yeah Remixes
Kabale Und Liebe and Daniel Sanchez...
7 March, 2008 | 2.23PM- Section: Music Reviews
The sleek and sexy underground hit from 2007 gets an update from Loco Dice and Marco Carola.
The Dutch and the Germans rarely see eye to eye on anything.
And while in recent years the limelight may have fallen on the techno eminating from strongholds like Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt, the Dutch aren’t about to sit back and let things slide.
While Tiësto may have convinced the world that dance dance music was all about daft glowstick trance, newcomers like Kabale Und Liebe and Daniel Sanchez are reminding the world that underground house and techno is alive and well and on the cutting edge in The Netherlands.
‘Mumbling Yeah’ first emerged as a slinky, soulful slice of dancefloor funk that grooved up dancefloors everywhere from DC10 to secretsundaze via Wetamix in Switzerland or Barracca in Spain.
Since then, Kabale Und Liebe has formed the excellent 6 man live act Amsterdam 661 and has future classics like ‘Makake’ and ‘Shaven Monkey’ forthcoming in Spring.
Til then, bask in the glory of these remixes from two of techno’s current big hitters Loco Dice and Marco Carola.
Both are essential dancefloor weapons, but Marco’s sub bass funk just about tips it for us.
