John B is back this month with a very interesting record.

‘Mr. Freud’, as you can imagine, is something a little bit different from the norm, representing a journey deep into the psyche of Mr. B.

Taking a very naughty sample from the UK No.1 smash ‘Yeah Yeah’ by Bodyrox featuring Luciana, John backs this up with a frickin’ huge tech house style lead.

A master of the trance sound, JB keeps your attention locked throughout ‘Mr. Freud’ via a sprinkling of tinkly melodies that linger long in your memory.

The drums are big enough to make Freud turn in his grave.

‘Red Sky’ sees John B take a different direction – a dirtier one.

In a production where the drumloop flips to skull-juggling amens on the break, this abrasive but upbeat banger harbours a vibe dirtier than John B’s underwear after a Saturday night on the tiles.

It’s detuned, warps all over the place and sounds a bit like a Bentley doing a drag race inside your speakers; fucking the dance floor over, and over, and over.
