Mount Kimbie: Before I Move Off

Although this video hurts my eyes a little, I can’t help but be mesmerized by the way the quickly moving stills sync to the hypnotizing tune from Mount Kimbie. It’s a struggle to call this a simple music video; this is really more like two works of art colliding. Filmmaker Tyrone Lebon, who did both the Crooks And Lovers album art and the group’s video for the track ”Would Know,” directs the snapshot-sourced video.

Mount Kimbie have seen some serious press for their Crooks and Lovers LP for Hotflush Recordings, and the track featured in the video is but one admirable hors d’oeuvre on the platter.
