For those of you who don’t know, They Came From The Stars (I Saw Them) are a psychedelic version of the Flaming Lips with additional helpings of acid.

This interstellar cut has been treated to a more earthly reworking from the king of italo-disco re-edits, Serge Santiago.

Once part of Radio Slave alongside Matt Edwards, Serge Santiago has been knocking out blissful techno from his comfortable, yet fashionable east London abode for some time now.

Deconstructing the original into a tech-laden, nu disco gem, Serge has kept all the atmospherics of the original, but ultimately re-programmed the track for maximum dancefloor impact.

The track kicks off with one almighty build centered around protrusive hand claps and unearthly moon music before the late entry of progressive synth lines and a cosmic bassline seal the deal.
