Monday night in St. Louis, Missouri
14 April, 2008 | 7.45PM- Section: Music News Topics: Sasha & Digweed Tour 2008
“What’s St. Louis famous for,” Industry Boy asks a friendly cab driver, on the way to the downtown part of the city.
“Well we hosted the World’s Fair and the Olympic Games,” he says. “And we got toasted ravioli here too.”
Toasted ravioli as it turns out, is deep fat fried ravioli. Yum?
St. Louis hosted the Olympics and World’s Fair way back in 1904, so maybe having two of the world’s biggest DJs play this city might be an event worth coming too.
For a Monday night though, even Sasha and John Digweed might be hard pressed to fill Dante’s club, which has a capacity of over 1000 people.
With its sticky carpeted floors and faux goblins, it ain’t the prettiest club on the tour.
That said, Sasha and John did play the same venue on their Delta Heavy tour, so they might have a hardcore group of fans hidden amongst the St. Louisans.
We’ll find out in the next few hours.
