Modeselektor collaborates with Thom Yorke
31 May, 2007 | 3.30AMBerlin’s Modeselektor
has a new album due out in September on Bpitch Control
, and Thom Yorke
has been named as one of the collaborators.
The news will not come as a surprise to Thom Yorke fans who will know that the Radiohead frontman has been a big fan of the electronic duo for quite some time - Yorke has recommended Modeselektor’s album in a number of interviews in the past.
Bizarrely, Warp Records’ English indie-rock band Maxïmo Park also appear on Modeselektor’s new album which is entitled ‘Happy Birthday’, as does Jackson And His Computer Band and French rap group TTC.
Apparat also features on ‘Happy Birthday’, and the LP is a splurge of different genres - dubstep, grime and electronica.
Beatportal has heard a sneaky sampler of Modeselektor’s album and can vouch that the record is likely to be a huge hit when it gets released on September 10th 2007.
