Via his website, Moby has announced his sixth studio album, ‘Last Night’, a dance music venture to be released March 10, 2008 in the UK (March 11 in the US).
The album involves several guest vocalists, with a heavy hand on rapping — including the Big Apple’s Grandmaster Caz (an MC and one of the writers of ‘Rapper’s Delight’ in the 1970s), MC Aynzli from the UK and the 419 Squad, based out of Nigeria. Also featured is Sylvia from New York electro punk outfit Kudu.
On his website, Moby shares that the record is something of a departure from his recent efforts.
“It’s a lot more dance oriented and electronic than my last few albums, probably as a result of all of the dj’ing I’ve been doing lately.”
