Following the constant complaints regarding the same songs being on all the mix CDs but in different orders, I have taken on a new feature titled “Mix CD of the Month”.

This will be released at the beginning of every month and will help the followers of the funky movement find CDs with more pleasurable listening.

D-Malice – Diamond In Da Ruff Vol. 1

D-Malice was the man of the month for September. He’s been top of the UKFunky.Com chart since the store opened with his Gabryelle Refix, and has now shown more of his musical genius as a selector on his mix CD.

D-Malice has cancelled out the stereotype that Funky is a Londoner’s sound, taking his stance within the Funky movement with a CD comprised of classics, exclusives and a number of dubplates.  Being a producer himself he has successfully manipulated this selection to enable a showcase of his own productions, without causing an overload. This being Diamond In Da Ruff Vol. 1, I’m hoping to see many more Funky compilations of this quality.
