Ministry of Sound to host monthy NYC events

British clubbing giant Ministry of Sound has announced that at the end of January it will begin hosting monthly parties in New York City at 530 West 28th St (formerly Mansion). Look out Pacha.

Ministry of Sound, which is the world’s biggest dance brand, recently opened an office in New York, and the party on January 30th 2009 is the first major event to have come out of the Stateside venture.

A source confirmed to Beatportal that Ministry are plotting to expand their club events across America, but are taking their time to ensure the same high standards of the British superclub are delivered in the US.

The line-up of Ministry’s grand New York opening is typically international with Parisian David Vendetta [a], Starkillers [a] from Las Vegas, UK vocalist Katherine Ellis [a] from the Freemasons [a] and Los Angeles-based house DJ Andy Caldwell [a] on the bill.

Promoter Artie Arboleda said, “This is a return to proper nightlife and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to be a part of it.”

Andy Horsfield, the mastermind behind British record label Global Underground [l], is the President of Ministry of Sound America, which also includes the MOS-owned Hed Kandi label.
