These are vintage Spirit productions. ‘Mind2Mind’ contains cagey, rattley beats that scuttle around with cold, machinelike precision through gauzes of icy, drifting atmospherics and textures.

The bassline is pure sub, and it rolls up and down like some sort of hypnotic Pendulum. 

You can’t help but nod your head to this.

What’s particularly notable about ‘Mind2Mind’ is that it contains very few samples to make it memorable – but it still has a hell of a lot of character and playability.

For the drum & bass heads that loved the early Digital and Spirit productions like ‘Gateman’ on Phantom Audio, Beatportal recommends that you give this a listen.

‘Smokescreen’ on the B is seriously cool.

More upbeat than ‘Mind2Mind’, expect a choppy, retro jungle beat providing the shuffle for some snappy two-step beats.

The bassline is catchy-as-fuck. Little layered stabs that bounce about in effervescent fashion.

All of this is layered with some classy drifting, glassy pads.

So all in all, you’ve got one ‘poppy’ D&B track that the dancefloor (and even your mum) will like and a ‘head down’ roller to boot on this double A-side.
