If you’ve been raving to a live set by Samim (this year’s breakthrough star of the underground thanks to ‘Heater’), you’ll have already wiggled to Miguel Toro.

The Venezualan musician accompanies the high flying Swiss on his high profile live dates, and to repay the favour, Samim turns in a remix for Miguel’s debut EP.

Picked up by Mattias Tanzman for his excellent Moon Harbour, Samim’s remix of ‘Cure’ is the pick of the tracks, turning the sultry house vibes of the orginal and amping them up to 11.

French house style filters, old skool style keys give this the feel of a mid 1990s French house track with a horn based hook that unveils itself in the breakdown to climactic effect.

The rest of the tracks on the EP are no slouchers either.

‘Otro’ in particular is a heads down, techno dancefloor jumper with a skippy, wobbling percussive part that will shake clubs to pieces.

‘Clak’ is more groove based deep house with a the right clicks and sound effects to work the world’s best minimalist floors into a frenzy.
