Metro Area mix Fabric

It’s been a busy autumn for Morgan Geist [a].

After finally finishing and releasing his second solo album ‘Double Night Time’ [check out the first single of it, with remixes by Carl Craig after the jump], he and his Metro Area [a] partner, Darshan Jesrani [a], were asked to mix one of the next Fabric [a] [l] CDs.

While promoting his solo album over the last few months, Morgan Geist didn’t get tired of telling how hard it was for him to finish the album, due to lack of enthusiasm for music in general and dance music especially.

He went as far as to jokingly call himself “the bitter old fuck I never wanted to become when I was young”.

With this new task at hand, he and his partner Darshan Jesrani can once more dive into the deepest depth of back in the day disco and boogie delights, where he may be able to recharge his enthusiasm and love for music.

Since the tracklisting is not announced yet, one can only speculate what’s going to be on the CD. A proper disco mix? Lots of classics? Tongue in cheek disco-pop like the last Environ [l] releases? New and unreleased Metro Area tracks?

We will have to wait another few weeks, to get the answers to these questions.

So sit tight and check back for more information.

The mix will be released in November, following New Zealand’s breakbeat champion FreQ Nasty, who got behind the decks for the October edition.
