“They call me Grandma Techno,” explained the lady in the motorized scooter.
She was down towards the front of the Beatport stage at Movement festival in Detroit, bopping her head along to the tripped out tech house beats of Lee Burridge.
Detroit’s Movement festival attracts all ages and there were plenty of children and families present at the event, but seeing a lady in her 60s in a granny cart was something we didn’t expect.
“I’ve been coming to this festival for four years, and I love the music—it’s just fantastic,” explained Grandma Techno.
The other people dancing around her smiled and showed their appreciation for her continued enthusiasm.
