Alexi Delano came to many people’s attention with his massive ‘Intelligence Reframed’ EP on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 imprint last year, but long term fans will know he’s been knocking out his highly individual blend of techno and unusual house for nearly a decade now. 

The exposure obviously didn’t do him any harm, though, as he’s spent the last twelve months firing out one dancefloor smash after another on labels like Railyard, Leftroom, Audiomatique and many more.

In a departure from his darker moments, this remix for the equally cool Adultknapper sees Delano bringing back the proggy pianos for a distinctly emotive, old-school thumper, with the main hook’s cascading keys providing a neat counterpoint to the sharp, shimmering beats and clackety FX.

Perfect for those moments when you need to go deeper without losing any energy, it’s one of Delano’s best remixes to date.

Adultknapper’s original is more conventionally rocking, with a searing lead and churningly powerful drums combing for maximum rave effect.

In the best possible way, of course.
