Last week there was another unforgettable night at Goa Club in Rome.

Two young DJs from Naples, the Italian capital of minimal techno, came and played.

Lucio Aquilina, born in 1985, is best known for ‘Magic M’, his hit from last summer.

Massi DL, born in 1988, is an authentic infant prodigy having been discovered last year by Richie Hawtin.

Both artists are from Trapez, but have had a number of productions under their belts for Frankie Records, Minus, Adagio and Cocoon Recordings.

Yes, Cocoon - Lucio Aquilina is the only Italian to have entered into Sven Väth family.

The night was opened up by another young DJ discovered by Giancarlino (Goa’s art director and a famous DJ round these parts): Luca Sanna Aka Sannola.

He comes from Ritual, the summer location of Ultrabeat on Sardinia island.

Luca didn’t fail, and played a good minimal warm up DJ set.

And then came the Naples fireworks.

Lucio Aquilina began with a showcase of his best productions like ‘Discobus’ and the above mentioned ‘Magic M’.

And to finish off the night Massi dropped an amazing tech house DJ set.

We noted that he is a technically gifted DJ, with great mixing ability.

He’s also a very accomplished producer too, so much so that he is Hawtin’s favourite, and was asked to accompany him on the last Minus Italian tour.
