Marcel Woods returns to the fore in spectacular style with this storming double CD mix compilation.

Throwing the rulebook out of the window, Marcel truly indulges his musical psyche, unleashing the beast within and in doing so, coming up with two sets that roar through from start to finish.

CD1 starts off so dark it’s practically the witching hour set to music. From his own track, ‘Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolate’ (Nestle Mix) through to John Dahlback’s ‘It Feels So Good’ and Alex Pearce’s ‘From Inside The Speaker’ (Twocker Remix), Marcel wracks up the tension, a tweak here, a notch there. Then just as you think you’ve got the measure of the mix, Cliff Coenraad’s ‘Modulate’ drops, just to mess with your mind. A big heads up - don’t even think about relaxing for a second with this mix!

Stripped down and electronic is the order of the day as CD2 kicks off. Wippenberg’s ‘Chakalaka’ and Joop’s ‘3008 Mix’, with its growling undertones of bass, suck you straight in to pure peak hour dance floor time. You’re all settled for the ride and in comes Miss Melody’s ‘Ibiza’. Shifting the pace, catching you off-guard, it’s a stunning twist that reminds you why Marcel is so revered by clubbers and DJs alike. Whether it’s lurking in the darker shades of trance or rising up to more euphoric sounds, every single track, every mix is perfectly crafted and beautifully toned.
