aka James Chapman put together the parts for his album in his bedroom in Northamptonshire without the aid of computers, preferring instead to painstakingly splice sounds together on his old 16-track recorder.
He’s now set to be one of the biggest electronic music revelations of 2007 - his debut album ‘We Can Create’ has been signed to Mute, and here on ‘It Will Find You’, the first single to be released from his debut, he manages to sound like a cross between Moby and Thom Yorke.
Blissful, euphoric and with a surefire pop accessibility, Maps is sure to become a star. Beatportal looks forward to hearing his whole LP.
