Make music online for free with Point Blank

If you’re interested in producing electronic music but not sure if you’re ready to take the financial plunge just yet, London’s Point Blank music school has release an online Music Machine that allows you to make your own beats and get a taster of the world of music production for free.

With a library of hundreds of professional loops from a range of sounds including house, hip hop, drum & bass and electro, and a basic layout similar to Logic, The Music Machine is quite good fun for beginners.

Users can drop samples and loops into a 16 track arrangement layout, and manipulate a few basic audio controls such as panning and volume, and then if they’re happy with their mix, they can finalize their creation and publish it on Point Blank’s website.

Presumably Point Blank hope to convert a few of the undecided aspiring producers out there to join one of their music production courses, and having been crowned ‘Best Music Production & DJ College’ by DJ Magazine six years running they’re a safe bet to learn from.

Point Blank also offer online courses for a discounted rate which are worth checking out.
