Mad Decent rocks the block
Mad Decent rocks the block
6 August, 2010 | 10.34AMAfter last weekend’s Philadelphia event, the Mad Decent Block Party series continues tomorrow in New York, taking over South Street Seaport with their patented blend of hip-hop, electro, dancehall, funk carioca, kuduro, kwaito, schlager, narcocorridos, and whatever other global subgenres they’ve discovered between now and then.
Tomorrow’s gig runs from 1 to 8 pm, which seems awfully short for a lineup including Maluca, Max Glazer & Friends, PO PO, Ricky Blaze & Chelley, Bosco Delrey, Janka Nabay, Eli Escobar, Paul Devro, DJ Sega & Telli Federline, and still more unannounced guests—but then, hip-hop-style mixing goes a lot faster than, say, trance (even if Diplo did just collaborate with Tiesto).
The Block Parties continue in LA and Chicago over the next two weekends. Full details after the jump, along with Mad Decent audio and Diplo’s summer top 10.
