M-Audio teams with Digidesign on new studio monitors

This week, M-Audio announced the arrival of their new DSM series of professional studio monitors.

Designed in conjunction with Digidesign – developers of the legendary ProTools digital audio workstation – the DSM series leverages the strengths of both companies to create a new class of DSP-enhanced monitors.

This page on the M-Audio website goes into excessive technical detail on the specifics of the DSM2 monitors and from what we can see, they look to be total winners.

There’s also a smaller version, the DSM1, with 6.5 inch woofers.

We’re especially looking forward to getting our hands on a pair of the DSM2s, as we’re huge fans of their EX66 series.
