Luca Bacchetti, who released a remix of Paul Ritch’s ‘Crazy Madness’ in June, is set to release another new EP, this one called ‘No Time to Get Back’ on Ovum Records.

Having just returned from a gig at Decibel Festival in Seattle and a holiday in Hawaii, Luca Bacchetti made his return appearance in Toronto during his North American tour on Saturday night.

During Nuit Blanche festival, while Toronto stayed awake perusing art installations in various locations until morning, Luca played to an energetic crowd at Circa night club.

Beatportal caught up with him to hear more about his forthcoming EP. 

For the track names for his new EP, ‘No Time To Get Back’, he’s chosen ‘Afrikaans’, ‘El Matador’ and ‘Caribbean’.

He says, “These are all titles that represent some of my trips around the world.”

“I’m really influenced by traveling because it enhances my creativity.”

When we last spoke with Bacchetti in the springtime he’d just released his hit ‘Night over Kwazulu’, and we were eagerly awaiting his next full length artist album on Wagon Repair.

However, Bacchetti fans will have to wait patiently, since he informed us that “the album will be released in 2009,” he says, “because I had some delays.”

In terms of production techniques on the album, Bacchetti told us, “In the studio I work with Ableton Live, Logic pro and different software according to what kind of sound I’m looking for.”

Being from Tuscany Italy and treasuring his homeland, we were curious to know more about his Italian connection.

He told us that he’s cooperating with fellow Italian Davide Squillace in sharing an artistic vision and Italian heritage.

He says, “I’m sure we will be able to communicate our experience to the people through our sounds”.

The next stop in North America for Bacchetti is October 10, at Cielo in New York City.
