London’s Plan B club expands
4 May, 2007 | 9.12AMCute and cuddly club Plan B in south London is about to put on some serious weight. The Brixton venue is set to double its size tonight when it opens a brand new neighbouring basement room that will expand the club’s capacity to 500.
The new basement is called B.Low and has been kitted out with all the latest in dancefloor gadgetry including a Funktion One soundsystem with 21” bass bins and a groovy new lighting system.
B.Low will also have the option of opening as a separate venue as it has its own entrance, bar and toilets.
Over the years, some of the world’s top funk, techno and house DJs have played at Plan B including Kevin Saunderson, Danny Krivit and Norman Jay, who has been booked to play the opening party tonight.
In the next few weeks the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Miguel Migs and Joey Negro will also play at the club.
